This quote has often been a favorite of mine.
I’ve never thought of myself as particularly brave, so I wouldn’t say that I look at this quote and am reminded of myself.
No, I think that I look at this quote and think of the person I hope to be.
I want to be that person who takes their fears and stomps on them.
I want to face the ocean and run in as fast as I can without the irrational fear of drowning holding me back.
Learn a new task without the fear of failing.
Talk to strangers without the fear of rejection.
Georgia O’Keeffe lived to be 98 and created ‘till the end.
Her last decade was spent suffering from macular degeneration but wasn’t defined by it. She was faced with the fear (and very real reality) of losing the thing that aided in her creation the most, her vision, but that didn’t stop her from pursuing her passion.
