Contemplating the Seasons
Let’s Share
At a Writers’ Retreat here in Poughkeepsie, New York, a small group of editors and writers gathered here at my home and retreat center, for a weekend of writing, inspiration and laughter.
It was the first of what we expect will be many, and it will grow, just as surely as the meadow flowers come back each year.
It was hosted by our sister publication, MuddyUm, and the editors there developed the program. I was the chef for the weekend. People traveled here from Florida, Texas, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Virginia and Maine.
drove here, to celebrate her birthday weekend with us. I felt honored. She honored us with inspiration and a lovely “I Am From…” poem.
