Assembling the puzzle of my mind
Home alone again this evening, with nothing important to do…
A box of a complex jigsaw puzzle is sitting on my desk patiently waiting to be solved.
I stare at the grey image of the mighty bison fearlessly walking into the storm. That is what they do, they say, as they shorten the time they are exposed to it. They prefer fighting to being chased…
And here I am, I’ve taken the couch for an hour already, daydreaming, lost in my own thoughts. Thinking about my past and fearing what’s to come.
I am always optimistic and look at the bright side of everything, but lately, I have been feeling a bit under the weather. Perhaps it was my approaching birthday; it always leads me into a state of introspection… don’t we all?
It feels like putting a giant puzzle together, a puzzle of moments, encounters, hopes, and anything I’m trying to achieve… Moving pieces around, each one representing an area of my life. My family, career, friends, health, and storms… An infinite number of them that don’t always match.
