From Portraits to Toy Photography: Finding My Creative Calling
Why I swapped traditional photography for LEGO scenes and never looked back
Once upon a time, I fell head over heels for photography — it was the mid-2000s, and I was happily capturing moments with a cute little compact camera. As the years went by, we reached 2016, and I decided I wanted to embrace this hobby more seriously because I absolutely loved looking at the photos I created!
So, I splurged on my first DSLR and signed up to learn from a fabulous English photographer for a year. He taught me the basics of portrait and event photography, and wow, he had the most amazing gear! I was completely enchanted! I learned so much from him — together, we shot weddings, I practiced endlessly, and expanded my array of equipment. Once I felt ready, I collaborated with other talented photographers, capturing beautiful weddings during the summers. On my own, I brought smiles to many families, creating lovely portraits of moms, dads, and their little bundles of joy. I even had fun helping some single friends with “cool” profile pictures for dating sites! Plus, I’m still the official photographer for — thanks, team! :)
