It isn’t about moving to the center or the extremes; the spectrum is dead
Bill Maher has his head up his ass these days. For the sake of, I don’t know, appearing wise and centrist, he just loves to propagate the idea that liberals are out of touch, and while the far right are terrible people, they know how to connect with voters. MAGA wouldn’t be winning as much as they do if Democrats weren’t so stubborn and obsessed with losing causes like “Defund the Police” and being the pronoun gestapo! Stop being Woke, It’s the Economy, Stupid!
Maher praises Sen. Fetterman’s tack to the right as smart and bold, and calls other, more principled, Democrats deluded. He even has dinner with the convicted felon, traitor, and rapist currently occupying the Oval Office and then reports what a charming guy he is in private. Okay, Bill.
A massive amount of all political analysis of the last six months makes the insane claim that the last election was primarily about immigration, trans athletes, and the economy. Trump won on all three, and subsequently MAGA carried Congress on his coattails. Meanwhile, the Democrats ran on abortion rights, open borders, and “joy”, and lost badly.
