Pleasure Anyone??
Recently I was looking for a photo to use in an article and I stumbled on the one above and just had to laugh. Working in sex & relationships as I do I had so many thoughts fly through my head, I just had to look it up. And sure enough, it was a town in the Canadian province of Newfoundland and Labrador on the island of Newfoundland. Now you know.
The dildo I’m used to seeing are the toys on my counter though, and I have quite an assortment at that. I’m a frequenter of FetLife and there are always folks with a new version of the classic dildo to check out. Who knew there were so many varieties?
That’s just it, there are loads of them made and sold every month in a wide variety of sizes, shapes and colors. Not to mention if they are powered or not. Thrusting anyone? I do not have statistics to share on just how many there are but decided to take a quick peak on Amazon.
If you just type dildo into the main search bar without any other parameters it shows there are over 9,000 items that have dildo as a keyword. Wow! As always, there’s more! You have probably noticed the number sold listed for items in the past. I decided to add up the number sold in the last month on just page one of the search. The total went over 100,000 units sold!!!
I still run into people who are embarrassed to even say the word much less buy one and here we see that they sell in numbers that are hard to fathom. Let’s not forget that Walmart and Target now have them in their stores as well. These fun toys are an everyday item now so if you haven’t made the plunge, now’s the time! Go ahead and add one to your next order.
In case you are wondering, the dildos with the highest sales numbers were the ones that were some version of ‘normal’ in the way of sizing. I have a range of sizes myself, and while I like them all in their own way, . A tidbit to consider if you have different sizes on hand. While we can focus on finishing with a larger one if that’s our fancy, try a smaller one immediately after. It can a pleasant sensation in itself. Enjoy!
