Should You Ditch Things 3 for TickTick?
If you’re asking yourself if it’s time for you to leave Things 3 behind in favor of TickTick, you aren’t the only one. We’ve spent some time with both apps and want to share our impressions. Things 3 is simple and clean, while TickTick offers more features and flexibility. The big question: are TickTick’s extras worth abandoning Things 3? So, let’s find out!
Interface & User Experience:
I’m going to focus on ease of use first. Facade When you load Things 3 for the first time, the clean, nearly minimalist design stands out. It’s easy, intuitive, and just feels right, especially if you’re knee-deep in the Apple ecosystem. “It’s got almost a blank canvas kind of interface in a way that makes it easier for the user to just get started tweaking what’s happening in their day-to-day,” he noted. Everything’s where you’d expect it to be, and it makes for an easy ramp-up to get going creating tasks and projects.
As opposed, TickTick has a completely different vibe. It comes more feature-rich out of the box. Opening up TickTick presents you with significantly more options and features. This can feel a little overwhelming at first, particularly if you’re moving away from something like Things 3, which is far simpler.
