Love To Learn : That’s The Only Way To Thrive
I was only four months into my first job when my company shut down. Suddenly I became jobless with the ongoing burden of my education loan weighing heavy on me. It was 2008. The country was crumbling through a potential recession and getting a job was essentially tough for a fresher.
Being a technical graduate, I grudgingly began my new gig in an NGO as a fundraiser. It was a completely different field that I hardly had any idea about. I was even shy to talk to unknown people and my job demanded to reach to people and convince them to donate to our organisation. I toiled hard to get a grasp of things. I worked on my public speaking. I joined a few clubs to practice speaking. And I discovered one good truth about myself.
I love learning new things.
I went on to learn about environmental hazards and campaigned for various awareness programs across the country. Later in various occasions in life -say, when I joined school for my postgraduate studies, or in a job or also while writing — it always gives me kick to learn new things. As I proceeded with my life and embarked on new opportunities — I kept on pursuing only one thing — new learnings. I kept on asking one good question to myself.
What can I learn ?
