Getting My Life Back on Track

How the hell did I get here? What can I change?

Have you ever woken up one morning and thought, "How the hell did I get here? "How did my life get so off track? " It happened to me this morning, and it was quite depressing and beyond sad.

I remember waking up this morning, stretching, and then looking around the motel room we’ve called home for almost the last year and a half. I could hear the coffee brewing in the kitchen, which is expected, considering you can see the entire room from the bed. As I lay there trying to wake up, it hit me. What in the hell am I doing here? How did my life get so off track? Most importantly, how can I get it back on the track it was once on?

Don’t get me wrong. I’m not complaining about my boyfriend or even our living situation at the moment. I know we’re both doing our best and trying to save money to move as soon as possible.

My question to myself this morning was when? Not only when, but how? What can I do to get us back on track? It’s super easy to get depressed and even easier to give up. While I don’t want to live in a motel for the rest of my life, it’s looking like saving money is more than an uphill battle.
