Dear Gen Z Diary: The Nazis Failed, and We Rocked Out
Get struck by lightning, losers. The rest of us are going out moshing.
Around Wednesday, I got the news that a neo-Nazi rally was planned to occur in Missoula, Montana on Saturday, June 18th. I have no idea why neo-Nazis thought they would have more success in Missoula than they did in , but I guess white supremacists aren’t exactly known for their brains.
There was some discourse as to what we should do about the upcoming rally. ,all advised against counter-protesting or otherwise engaging with the group. When you’re in your early twenties and tired of assholes running the world, however, sitting pretty isn’t exactly something you want to do.
“I just don’t think it’s right to cede land to the Nazis,” my roommate said. “If no one resists, they’ll just feel more empowered to do harm.”
I thought for a moment. “I don’t know. I get what you’re saying, but I think it’s more likely that they’ll just hold their signs and pathetically march around in a little circle if people ignore theally can’t see them getting away with much violence unless someone engages with them.”
