The high you’re hunting
is simply not worth the pain
you will cause others

the repercussions
make for a life lived in vain
You will hurt others

I’ve been there before
unable to leave the floor —
you will find others

I’ll say it again
not worth it now or back then
yet you hurt others

No way to defend
try explaining this to them
telling the others

It will wrench your guts
just hearing yourself within
earshot of others

but once it’s all out
your mind leaves its muddy cloud
you can help others
