With her sassy attitude and unforgettable one-liners — like the now-famous “A dollar makes me holla, Honey Boo Boo!” — a pop culture phenomenon was born. BOOM! Honey Boo Boo had arrived.

However, when the cameras were off, life was very different for Alana and her family. After gaining fame on , Thompson and her mother, June Shannon — better known as — landed their own reality show, Here Comes Honey Boo Boo.
