However, when the cameras were off, life was very different for Alana and her family. After gaining fame on , Thompson and her mother, June Shannon — better known as — landed their own reality show, Here Comes Honey Boo Boo. The series followed the everyday lives of Alana, her sisters Anna, Jessica, and Lauren (nicknamed Pumpkin), as well as her father, Sugar Bear. But with newfound fame came unexpected challenges and a heavy price.
