The Powerful Weapon of a Believer
It is natural urge of a human to communicate when feeling helpless so that a hope is instilled in one’s heart that Someone is keenly listening and is able to remove all worries and hardships. As for a muslim, supplication(Dua) is the most powerful tool , a direct line of communication with Allah, who says in the Quran.
وَقَالَا رَبُّكُمُ ادْعُوْنِىْ اَسْتَجِبْ لَكُمْ
And your Lord says call upon Me; I will respond to you. ( surah 40, verse 60).
The verse encourages believers to call Allah, and promising response. This shows that supplication is a direct communication to Allah , where Allah listens our whispers and response comes in the form of signs from Him, changing our circumstances, wards off calamity , prevents misfortune or as a reward in Hereafter. As is mentioned by Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم:
Whoever does dua to Allah, Allah fulfills his seeking or in exchange averts misfortune until the dua is not related to sin or breaking some relation. (Al Tirmidhi)
Some people find that the act of supplication itself brings about a sense of tranquility, as it allows them to connect with a higher power and surrender their worries and anxieties.
