Released in the United States on August 16, 1985, the film follows two quirky medical supply employees, Frank (James Karen) and Freddy (Thom Mathews), who encounter a military tank containing a military experiment.

Overlooking the warning label located on the side of the tank, the two men carelessly release toxic gas into the atmosphere that will soon reanimate the dead.

As the toxic gas gets into their lungs, they realize that it has also consumed the warehouse, reviving dead butterflies, half—dog anatomies, and a cadaver. Despite their efforts to extinguish the cadaver by destroying the brain, the cadaver runs towards Frank’s boss, Bert (Clu Gulager.) He tackles it to the ground, where they decide to dismember the body with a bone saw.

The men take the body parts to a nearby crematorium to be cremated by Ernie (Don Calfa). As the body burns, the toxins fill the air, and rain clouds are formed, producing acid rain. This acid rain seeks into a cemetery nearby, causing the dead to rise from their graves with an insatiable hunger for human brains.

Additionally, this film follows a group of Freddy’s friends and girlfriend, Tina (Beverly Randolph). The group decides to lounge around the cemetery while waiting for Freddy to finish…
