How I Wrote 74 Stories This Year
Without One Single Boost.
I began writing for Medium in the late fall of 2023, but I did not paywall any stories until January of this year. I figured the taxes on my vast earnings would be a problem. I have been wrong about many things.
I self-published everything for a while, and I got some weird advice from Kimberly G Fitzgerald, who is no longer with us. She said that she gets lots of reads when she mentions her boobs, but then she never actually showed them, disregardless of the fact that she promised several times to post boob shots. I thought that was disappointing. I showed lots of boobs, both real and imaginary, and wrote lots of boob stories, which got a few reads. I specialized in nipples, also. I am totally a sucker for nipples. But boobs and nipples are not Boostable material, of course. Sad.
After quite some time, somebody explained publications to me, and I started submitting stories to The Creative Collective, because I had met a couple people who were connected to that. I branched out into other fields, and wrote artsy, clever stories that were totally lacking in substance, for the most part. And I never got Boosted. That I know of. Do they send you a message or something? I never got mine.
