Daisy Finds a New Home
A story about a duck
In the heart of a once serene woodland, there lived a duck named Daisy. Her home was a beautiful pond, shimmering under the sun’s golden rays, surrounded by willows that whispered secrets to the wind. But the peace was not to last; the nearby village expanded, and with it came the pollution that turned Daisy’s pond into a murky, lifeless pool.
One morning, as the sun struggled to break through the smog, Daisy knew it was time to find a new home. With a heavy heart, she spread her wings and took to the sky, leaving behind the only home she knew.
Her journey took her over fields and streams. The first pond she encountered was too shallow, barely a puddle after a long summer. The next was too crowded, with ducks squabbling over space. “I need peace,” Daisy quacked to herself, continuing her search.
Flying further, she found a serene lake nestled between two hills. The water was clear, reflecting the sky’s azure. Here, the air was sweet with the scent of wildflowers, and the only sounds were the gentle lapping of water against the shore and the occasional chirp of birds.
Daisy landed gently on the water, causing ripples that spread in quiet circles. She paddled around, exploring her new surroundings. There were reeds for nesting, plenty of fish darting beneath the surface…
