Deinfluencing Van Life
The iceberg of modern nomad reality no one speaks about
As an aspiring vanlifer-to-be influenced by Instagrammable videos, you may be convinced that life on the road is the ultimate dream.
However, let’s be honest — this message is sent to you by people either:
a) deeply in love with vanlife, highlighting its best moments, or
b) trying to sell you a fully converted van and profit from your inexperience. See: overly optimistic showing a clean, all-white campervan.
Reality check

The mindset shift
The way of thinking about organising your life in a house versus in a vehicle is completely different. The ‘van life’ thinking needs to be learned just as strategic or critical thinking skills.
