Days come and go,
Life passes by.
We keep on rolling
Up and down hills.

Our worries change,
Our outlook on life.
What brings us joy?
What brings us peace?

We take control,
We guide the wheels.
We change the path
We are meant to go.

What doesn’t change
Is the fire in our souls.
The recognition
Of our counterpart.

What doesn’t change
Is how we feel
About our bond,
About our love.

Days come and go,
Life passes by.
Must we deny
What our hearts need?

Each other’s laughs,
Each other’s cries,
To be a witness
Until the end.
