Finding Peace Within

Meditation on Courage and Possibility

Sometimes the hardest thing one can do is find peace within!

We all struggle with expectations and don’t know how to begin,

But the greatest peace when our questions cease comes with trust,

We find the strength within ourselves and courage to do what we must,

No one promised us an easy ride, sometimes we want to hide and cry.

But in the midst of uncertainty, that peace can reign and we get by,

Opening our hearts and minds, finding within hope signs to stand,

For even in our darkest moments, strength comes with a helping hand,

All of us at one time or another, want to run away, facing a judgment day,

But what makes us strong, helps us get along, is taking the time to pray,

We realize we are not alone, we have strength inside to stand and fight,

We can find the resolve inside ourselves to find what we know is right,

I’ve been there more times than I can count, facing a painful choice,

But even if we recognize we’re weak, have no strength, we find our voice,
