Have you ever considered that the way you start your day could be contributing to your belly fat? I didn’t until I started researching how to get rid of my belly fat.

I loved my morning routine: Up early with the house to myself and a jump on the day. Empty the dishwasher, brew a lovely pot of coffee and sink into my favourite chair with my lap top and phone, to scroll and write. The thought of it made getting out of bed before 5:00 am easy.

So Why Was it a Problem?

Turns out my beloved morning ritual could have been trigging cortisol spikes. Elevated cortisol levels, particularly in the morning, can signal your body to store more fat around your middle!

So-called experts say this, but they don’t say why. If I was going to the trouble of change a ritual/routine that I enjoyed you can be damn sure that I was going to find out why.
