What do you usually do on rainy days?
A few days ago, when chatting with a friend, we talked about what we like to do on rainy days. We talked about reading books, sleeping, and so on.
Rainy days can enhance the atmosphere depending on our surroundings and mood at the time. For example, in a youthful school drama, when a group of kids joyfully runs in the rain, it highlights the energetic and vibrant youthful spirit. Conversely, in a romantic drama, when a couple breaks up in the rain, it adds a sense of melancholy and sadness to the scene.
Furthermore, everyone’s experience of rainy days might be different. For me, as the sky darkens and the outside world becomes less bright, my mood becomes calmer. With the sound of raindrops tapping on the window, all other sounds seem to fade away. It’s evident how accustomed we’ve become to the noise of everyday life.
When I was little, whenever it rained, we children would cheerfully play in the raindrops, turning our yard into a playground. Summer was scorching and there was no air conditioner in our home back then. When it rained, the weather became cooler, and a refreshing breeze blew.
