Views, Reads, and Earnings on Medium — January 2025, an Unexpected Start

By the end of 2024, I got so busy with a family matter that I was unable to write or even check my Medium account. You can read more about that here.

However, as I resumed my Medium account I discovered that although I wasn’t publishing stories I did have a handful of reads.

Despite those reads the worrying part was that I had no earnings for those reads.

Initially, I thought that it was me alone who had no earnings. I read an email that gave me a rough idea that I wasn’t alone and that many people were facing this issue.

Today when I checked the balance of my account I saw a $22 amount. I think that Medium has compensated for whatever went wrong with the platform.

Still, I have no clue what went wrong or right on Medium for the time I was unable to read and write…
