Do You Actually Have Enough Strength?
If you’ve been working out for a long time but feel a hidden pain about not having enough strength, this is for you.
I won’t start with a story to keep you engaged — let’s get straight to the point. If your strength isn’t increasing, follow this schedule which is known as Pyramid Training Technique. It’s a proven technique that many experienced trainers recommend to their students.
Let’s assume you want to increase your bench press, and your maximum weight is 40 kg. On your next chest day, focus solely on your bench press, leaving out other exercises.
Start with two 20 kg plates. Make sure you have someone standing behind you for support.
- Do 20 reps.
- Take a proper rest.
- Next, do 19 reps with the same weight.
- Rest again.
- Continue this pattern: 18 reps, rest; 17 reps, rest… down to 10 reps.
After you reach 10 reps, take another rest, then start again from 10 reps with the same weight.
- Do 10 reps.
- Rest.
- Then do 11 reps.
- Rest again, and continue up to 20 reps.
Try this routine, and you will see exponential growth in your strength, endurance, and muscle mass!
