The Good Old Days of the Exam Halls
It was nostalgic!
Have you ever been to an examination hall? As a student or as an invigilator?
We all have been there, isn't it? But mostly as students. Today, I went as an invigilator.
As you might be knowing, I am pursuing a Ph.D. in computational chemistry. During Ph.D., the research scholar has to do the teaching assistantship (TAship) duty, where they help the course instructor as well as the students during the course duration.
During this August-December session, I was the TA at one of the courses. As part of the duty, I had to take TA classes to clear the doubts of students, prepare assignments and their solutions, check the assignments, etc., apart from taking attendance in the class.
We had the end-semester exam today. As obvious, most students were nervous as this was their first main exam in this college. As happens, sometime after the exam started, the nerves of the students settled down as they were writing the answer sheets.
The moment
As one would expect, the students are bound to talk to their neighbors to get some hints for the questions on which they are stuck. Exactly the same started happening in this class.
