A Flash review of the novel ‘The Good Girl’ by Fiona Neill

Reading a book and gripping the pages as you near its ending is scarce in this age of fast and popular fiction. When you finally understand what the book was all about, what the title was all about. This is one of the indications that the book was good and worth picking up, worth scrunching up the pages in an agony of ecstatic revelations.

I read Fiona Neill’s ‘The Good Girl’ and experienced a similar kind of unsettling excitement. I read some Goodreads reviews on the back and found that some people complained about the prolongingness of diving into the actual plot of the novel, which is a cautionary tale about the perils of the World Wide Web, specifically in the arena of Porn and Internet’s immense ability to make any content viral, in a matter of hours.

I am not familiar with Neill’s previous works, but I must say, writing this book must have been a challenging work as it deals with subject specializations in multifarious aspects. Neuroscience and psychology share a weird habitat with Literature in this novel. The characters in this novel, Harry and Romy, have an obsessive need to analyze every aspect of life through their common passion for Neuroscience, which at first would seem smart,t but…
