Who decides what’s wrong or right?
Who draws the line between black and white?
We’re taught the rules, we sing along —
But life, my love, writes its own song.

It laughs at lines we try to draw,
Rewrites the rules we thought were law.
It sings in keys we’ve never heard,
Then silences us with just one word.

If scars on flesh are weighed and known,
Then why do heart-wounds stay alone?
Unnoticed, untouched in courts of law,
As if they vanish with no flaw?

If fire to homes brings law to call,
Why not the lies that make love fall?
A kiss betrayed, a trust gone thin —
Are those not crimes beneath the skin?

To love one but dream of another —
Is that betrayal or love rediscovered?
If hearts don’t match the hands we take,
Is dreaming wrong, or staying fake?

We promise love, we swear, we bind,
But sometimes chains are cruel, unkind.
