My Listverse Experiment: can it actually pay for writers? #Challenge- Part 01
That was the backstory. I assigned myself a personal writing challenge — to find out whether popular content-paying websites really pay freelance writers what they promise. In these days of remote work and side hustles, content-paying websites are making money hand over fist.
But are they even legitimate? Or a clickbait scam coated with a flashy website?
My Select twelve of the most discussed sites and try them one at a time. Send quality content and observe whether they actually accept and pay writers. The first site in my list was Listverse — a site that pays $100 for each accepted list-type article.
I wanted to know the truth. Not from hearsay, not from YouTube channels or opinions — but from my very own experience. I wanted to witness the behind-the-scenes: the submission procedure, the standards of quality, and the small print that no one ever discusses.
What is Listverse, and what does it publish?
Listverse is one of those unique websites that only publish list-style content. Think “Top 10 Mysterious Events in History” or “10 Everyday Items You’re Using Wrong.” They’re quirky, offbeat, and definitely not your typical blog posts.
