Researchers have also found them in breast milk, the placenta, testicles, hearts, livers, and kidneys.
A recent U.S. found microplastics in 98.9% of seafood samples.
On average, a person may ingest or inhale between 78,000 and 211,000 microplastic particles yearly.
How are they getting inside us?
