“Making a habit to learn is making a habit to succeed.”

Have you ever kept a track of how many English words you use in a day, or, in a week?

Did you know that that there are more than 1.7 lac words currently in use in the English language. This is after excluding Latin words, jargons or other scientific terminology.

If we include these as well then, the total word count is easily more than one million words. This is just for the English language.

An English-speaking person usually is aware of approx. 20–30K words. Of these, we can easily get by with using just 600–800 words in our day-to-day interactions.

When was the last time you tried to improve upon this?

Most of us just rely on the internet if we have to use any heavy words or simply to check the meaning of a new word.

Once we get to know the meaning, we forget it soon after.
