I’m “Open to Work” My ‘Dream Job’

--

But I don’t know what it is.

In the past 1 month, I have:

  1. Quit my job of two years
  2. Moved to a whole new country (and continent!)
  3. Moved into an apartment with 2 strangers
  4. Started my Masters degree in Design

Do I want to work part-time while studying? Sure. Kind of. I mean, extra money would be great.

But being a student in a country of my choice is so exciting. I’ve barely processed everything that has happened in the past month. Before I moved, I told myself that I would work and make money. I’d freelance and start a side hustle.

Now that I’ve moved, I just want to be present. I want to learn the local language.

from a walk I took on my first day here

I want to create a space so grounded that I’m curious. And I want to have the mental and physical space to pursue my curiosity.

Being extremely busy studying, working, learning a language, and just living life is a lot of things all at once.

Even though I’ve formally been employed full time at one company, I’ve explored my interests through various personal projects and internships. If there is one message I want to focus on now, it’s that I don’t want my exploration to be a thing of the past.
