Hunkered Down, Family Day Tomorrow, and Other Sunday Stuff
Who ticked of Elsa THIS week?
Folks…I am not going outside on this “fine” Sunday.
For about the…third…or fourth(?)….time this week, we are having snowy, icy conditions, and being told to stay inside if we can.
Many places of business, including restaurants, have opted to stay closed. And we live in Canada! So, you can imagine how bad the roads are for THAT to happen!
Sadly, I had to cancel a coffee date with an out-of-town friend this morning, so that is a bit of a downer. But…better safe than sorry!
And as for the dumpster fire of weather out there? Better today than tomorrow. Tomorrow is “Family Day” in my province, where many people have the day off to spend together. And I have plans, darn it!
We’re going to our traditional Family Day restaurant (a nice family one with a big menu!), then heading to my sister’s for board games and hot tub time! So Elsa, or Mother Nature, or whomever it is causing this nonsense outside, better COOL IT by later today!
In the meantime, I think I am going to spend the rest of my day in my pajamas snacking on yummy things.
But not donuts.
(My teenage daughter just asked me to go get donuts. Have you LOOKED outside, kid?)
