How Much I Earned in My First Month on Medium!
How I went from $0 to nearly $25 in 10 days—and my journey to reach $100 next.
This post marks the end of my first month at the Medium Partner Program, and I couldn’t be happier with this experience. I opened this account on the 19th of October and joined the partner program. However, I only started writing daily, seriously and intensively, quite recently.
I’ve been writing articles quite often: sometimes, two or three a day, sometimes, three at most. Of course, it is a high output. I was full of energy and ideas, always planning the next piece that I wanted to write.
Earnings So Far
Currently I am at about $24.13, and going by my progress, I should be able to reach the $25 mark. The thrill of seeing my earnings increase, even if it is one or two cents, has been overwhelming. It did not cross my mind that I would accumulate this sum so soon, even during the first few days after signing up for Medium. This has given me more morale to work knowing that every penny is a result of effort being made.
Even just watching that number grow each day has been so motivating. It is a small achievement at best, but one that is important and requires about a few days of consistent hard work to accomplish.
Moving Forward
Just a few days ago, I recall reading a post here on Medium of a user joyfully receiving his payout of $11.67 for the month of September, which encouraged me to wonder how long it would take for me to reach even $5, not to mention $11.
However, today, I find myself nearly at $25 though, a few days in the program. Still, I am sure if I could work much harder and devote much more time to it, I could earn $100 in a month only, even though it would require ten times more efforts.
It has nothing to do with boastfulness but rather simply emphasizes that in any endeavor you pursue, you must work hard with good intentions and help people when you are half way through.
Here’s to striving for the best, gaining new knowledge, and experiencing this journey, one step at a time.
