Member-only story
I’ve recently been reading more books about life and deep thinking. Here are some of my thoughts on finding your purpose in life that came to me while I was reading these books.
Do What You Love, Not What Others Love
By this, I mean discover the core values you want to live by. We often find ourselves stuck in situations that we don’t enjoy because we’re doing what others are doing. I’ve faced this problem myself. What I’ve learned from these books is to do what you want: practice that sport or hobby, make that music track you thought about, or write that article or book you’ve been thinking about. At first, it might be just you, but along the way, you’ll find people who share your values, and you can collaborate on something you all love.
Focus on Your Reason
I think it’s important to use our ability to think and reason when making decisions and taking action, rather than just going with whatever we feel like at the moment. It’s about using our brains to guide us in the right direction, logically and wisely. Sometimes, this means we have to put our immediate emotions aside and rely more on our ability to reason and think things through.
Reflect on Mortality
Write A Catalyst and Build it into Existence.
