Change has always been our superpower — the ability to imagine, dream, and create distinguishes humans from all other creatures.

But every innovation casts a shadow.
As we enter the age of artificial intelligence, I can’t help but question if we’re illuminating the way forward or unwittingly undermining the very underpinnings of what makes us human.

Consider a society inventing a magical chair.
Sit in it and you will be able to float wherever with ease.
At first, it feels liberated.
However, generations later, people’s legs weaken. They forget how to walk.
The chairs eventually break, trapping them and rendering them defenceless.
