Earth — A Hidden Perception

--

How we dissolve into the Very Elements that sustain Life

“Earth thrives with life at every nook and corner, but in the rush of our daily schedules, we often fail to pause and witness the true essence of what unfolds around us.”

It is so mesmerizing and sometimes even shocking to realize that once a person dies, they are reduced to basic elements like the carbon, hydrogen and oxygen, along with minor and trace elements.

What fascinates me is that, in death, we are either buried or burned into ashes. In the end, nature reclaims all that it needs, and from these extracted elements, entire microbial and saprophytic kingdoms come to life. They grow, thrive, and perish in an endless cycle. I can’t help but feel that when we are reduced to ashes or decay into the earth, the elements within us, the carbon, hydrogen, oxygen become part of everything. In a way, we are everywhere.

A great man, reduced to mere atoms, how strange and awe-inspiring it is to perceive the world in this way. Yet, at the same time, it is saddening to think that we all have just one fleeting lifeline to be a part of this celestial planet.
