For a Week, I Woke Up an Hour Earlier Than Usual
Here’s What Changed
I’m neither a morning person nor a night owl, but I never slept before 12:30 AM. If you are my type, let me know in the comments!
As a housewife, my day starts at 8 AM. I would go straight to the kitchen without even brushing my teeth.
My mornings would be in hurry. I work at lightning speed — prepping food, ironing my husband’s clothes, making rangoli outside, packing his lunch, and sending him off — all within one and a half hours. Taking care of a toddler is an inescapable, full-day task.
This was my routine. Life felt hectic, and I was always exhausted.
But then, one morning, my daughter woke up at 6 AM and was full of energy.
I got up, gave her some milk, brushed my teeth, had a warm beverage, put on my shoes, and stepped outside for a walk.
Yes, I actually did it!
That moment changed everything!
How Waking Up Early Transformed My Life
- I felt fresh and energetic throughout the day.
- An hour of walking brought a sense of calm and clarity. Time for myself.
- I could plan my day before it even started.
- I became more productive and efficient.
- I finally found time to write, which brings me true joy.
- Managing my home, child, and husband, and writing became much easier.
Waking up early helped me escape from my exhausting routine. My days became more organized and purposeful.
If you’re not a morning person, I bet you to waking up early — just for one day. You might be surprised by noticing your potential!
