When Am I Supposed to Write?

I bet many of you have a main job apart from online writing so we must prioritize it.

Moreover, it is quite difficult to get inspired and take time out of our lives to devote this time to writing. So, how can we deal with it?

I don’t have any magic trick to organize our lives to find time for writing, but I can share how I do it so I don’t abandon this little creative essence.

1. Do not get obsessed

The more obsessed you are about not writing, the worse it will get.

I constantly write on my agenda when listing to-do tasks (job, personal and house chores) ‘write,’ but many of the times I cannot accomplish this goal because I also need a free-mind activity to do, so I keep postponing the writing task over and over again.

I realized that the more I ruminate on my writing procrastination, the worse I feel; therefore, I stopped writing down the ‘write on Medium’ task on my to-dos and I only keep a post-it at the front of my agenda that says “Write when you feel like it”.

2. Take advantage when the inspiration comes

Whenever you know exactly the words, sit down and shape your text.
