Do You Pay Attention To Your Life?

It is easy to live in the past, to get stuck with something, with a memory, with an experience that haunts us, or with nostalgia for something we experienced. It is also easy to live in the future thinking about what could be or being uncertain about what will be.

My experience as a disabled woman

Being present is a gift and a privilege that comes unexpectedly and sometimes we don’t even realize we have it. This gift came when my life changed radically.

The detonation in my body of physical pain, chronic illnesses and their symptoms, physical disability, and difficulty in movement. All of this brought me suddenly to the present, I can no longer ignore it, no longer just pushing forward with my mind in the future.

At first, I didn’t consider it a gift, on the contrary, it was torture. I wondered why I was experiencing it; if I had done something wrong, if I had caused it, but that was not the case, the circumstances were due to genetics and life itself, and there I was suffering in the present. . .

I had to decide what I wanted to do, how I wanted to live that present, and what I could do to live it. I had the opportunity to choose, and I decided to live, it was not easy. Still, little by little I…
