Somewhere Between Wild Thoughts and “This Happened to Me”
May Prompt: [The Hope Jar]
I took pills to numb it all but instead ended up with very sloppy diarrhoea and a stomach ache that went on for days.
April has been a whole year in itself. I’ve felt everything and nothing all at once. I never knew it was possible to feel so full and so empty at the same time.
I gave up and kept going, all within two minutes. I let go, then still pressed on because, honestly, I had no idea what I was doing.
I wrote about kindness and then beat myself up for messing things up. I talked about faith, even though most days I had none in myself.
I zoned out so often it felt like the days were just drugging by, dragging my soul along for the ride.
The month started on an averagely good note. I was added to a book club. You all know everything that happens at the book club stays in the book club😉
We had to choose between a motivational or fiction read. Of course, I went with the former: Mel Robbins, The Let Them Theory.
So much hope poured from that book. Mel doesn’t sugar coat her words in her books or her podcast. There was just so much to take in from her incredible work.
