May Prompt: The Hope Jar

I was sad, I was low
Without any idea where life would go.
I thought God was not being fair
There was no road to lead me anywhere.

My heart was broken beyond repair
And I was left only with my prayers.
I kept telling myself that this too shall pass
Keeping hope was my only solace.

Be calm and surrender to the Divine
Don’t keep your heart maligned.
Days passed and times changed
Like a rainbow after it rained.

Life was beautiful once again
For all the adventures, I was game.
The lessons I learnt are hard to miss
The hard times are also bliss.

Some people are lessons, some are blessings
God loves you, just stop complaining.

Life is full of ups and downs.

When we are going through a low phase, keeping hope is the only option. It makes us look forward to better days.
