For centuries, history has been seen through the lense of dominion, which for the longest supervened through the male figure.

This led to an astonishing number of women who impacted the world to remain unnoticed. Their tale exists under the shadow of men’s personalities — however, their role in shaping the domain of politics, science, activism and social change is way too important to be unattended.

In this article, we will discuss the life stories of few of the incredible potent women whose accomplishments in history is highly underrated. She certainly ought to be acknowledged and remembered.

Hypatia of Alexandria (c. 350–415 AD) — The Philosopher and the Mathematician

Can you imagine being killed for your intellect, in a city renown for its culture? Hypatia of Alexandria received props as being one of the first woman mathematicians, astronomers, and philosophers, who was educated at the Neoplatonist School of Alexandria.
