In a world with so little authenticity and integrity nowadays, it can sometimes be difficult to really tell the difference between true love and false love. We become trapped in illusory relationships that might feel good initially but are really nothing except a thin cloud of smoke. This work is important for our souls and the relationships we are trying to build that are based on closeness.
The romantic in Jessica is always there, you know. So as a child, she filled her notebooks with dreams of finding the one, a love that rises above the every day and dances among the stars. She then went and met Alex after a few relationship cycles where it felt like a quick adventure but no real investment. They first met at a friend’s party, and immediately, they hit it off. They laughed at the same jokes, had similar interests, and the hours spent together were always seamless. For Jessica, it felt as if she had finally met her match.
But months went by and Jessica realized that there was something off in the relationship.
