Intermittent fasting has become a popular health trend over the last decade. Celebrities like Mark Wahlberg, Terry Crews, and Hugh Jackman have said this method helped them reach their fitness goals.

It has many health benefits, including lower blood pressure, improved blood sugar, decreased inflammation, and improved energy.

If you are considering intermittent fasting to lose weight, there are some things you should know first.

What is Intermittent Fasting?

Intermittent fasting is a schedule that switches between fasting and eating. When someone is intermittent fasting, they only eat during a specific time frame. There are several different fasting schedules that people follow.

Two popular fasting schedules are:

· 16/8 schedule: Eating for eight hours and fasting for 16.

· 5:2 schedule: Regularly eating five days a week and only eating one 500–600 calorie meal for the other two days.

During fasting, the only thing your body should be consuming is water or black coffee.
