Springing into the season

I saw their cheerful faces as soon as I parked my car.

As I walked towards the wholesale club for my weekly grocery shopping, my feet turned towards the pots of annuals and spring-blooming flowering plants.

I was so happy to see the white ones with the lemon-yellow trumpet in the center. This was the first time I’d ever seen the wholesale club sell this variety.

The daffodil hoarder

Last week, I bought a couple of pails of the larger pale, buttercup yellow daffodils. So excited was I to add this new variety to the hundreds of daffodils that are already blooming in my front yard each year.

Now my joy multiplied with the thought of adding the white ones to my collection!

Am I a daffodil hoarder? Certainly!
I never think of not getting more, because I have enough of them in the yard.
