Did you know one strand of DNA can store as much information as a trillion compact discs?
Stop — this isn’t a science lecture — well, maybe a little.
In the world of computer science this information means that it is possible to carry out computations at the molecular level.
I can’t fathom this so I won’t try!
But why does it matter to me in my every day world?
It matters because….we are so complex!
We are much more than our DNA structure, our personality, our fears, our motivations, our instincts and all the beautiful, as well as the not so beautiful, ways we function in our lives.
We are so much more than mathematical calculations and scientific information.
How we function is not who we are!
