The Sleeper Must Awaken

A line taken from Frank Herbert’s Dune.

A couple of lines from a book that has reverberated
throughout influence during my life.

“Without change, something sleeps inside us,
and seldom awakens. The sleeper must awaken”.

This has been a driving force in decisions made,
dealing with fear of the unknown, a fear of falling asleep.

Changing life style’s, jobs, town’s, city’s and countries without
the comfort of an assured outcome has driven me through apathy.

I’m not a gambling man; however, I choose not to live
in the comfort zone of an assured lifestyle and risk going to sleep.
