Fare Thee Well
A Note From Antiquity
Fare thee well, sweet soldier of yore,
Your Queen will await you forever and more.
My sweet King you are, you gave me your heart,
I’ll guard it eternally, till death do us part.
When you returneth, whether dark or bright,
Open as always you shall find my heart.
And if the news is that you have perished,
You already know how you I have cherished.
So, fare thee well, and I know with your valor
You’ll accomplish all for which they so clamor.
Go forth, my brave King, and with your lion’s roar
Show all your true wisdom, courage, and more.
