Stop Selling Yourself Short
You are an amazing and talented person.
How many times do you sell yourself short?
Sometimes when people ask me what I do for a living, when they see me, I go blank. I never know what to say, sometimes I say I’m a Virtual Assistant, other times I say I have my own business.
Once someone asked a follow-up question, “Oh, that is nice, what business do you have?” I instantly hit a blank again. What do I say? I asked myself. The only words that could come out were “Oh, there’s so much that I do.” I’m sure that person didn’t know what to think either, because they didn’t ask a follow-up question; instead, they simply blessed my business. God bless that man’s beautiful soul.
I’m still learning how to actually speak to people face to face, sometimes the introvert part overcomes all the knowledge and wisdom that I’ve gained and the work that I’ve put in to being a better communicator.
For me, writing is still easier than speaking, but how do I say in one sentence that I’m an Entrepreneur, Writer, Virtual Assistant, Online Teacher, YouTuber (Podcastor), and Content Creator?
Writing it is easy, but to say that! I’ll have to start practising.
It comes down to that saying, “If I tell you what I do it will sound like I’m bragging.”
