A Love Story from a Seven-Year-Old to His Mom
My Waterfall of Gold
It was morning, and I was up and out of bed. I was sitting at the breakfast table. My mom was making me breakfast. I was thinking about how much she takes good care of me.
Mommy served me scrambled eggs. “My favorite! Yummy in my tummy!” I thought. I started to eat my scrambled eggs covered in ketchup. I was still thinking about how much my mom takes care of me.
My mom was washing the dishes. From my seat, I said, “Mom, you know what?” Mommy said, “No. What, my son?” I said, “Mom, you are a waterfall of gold!”
Mommy dropped what she was doing, came up to me in tears, and said, “What? What did you say? Where did you get that from?”
