How to Get Your Stories Boosted and Why You Should Try Blogging
A teacher’s guide to writing for impact and income.
I’m about to gift you some expensive knowledge for free.
I’ve figured out the formula for getting a story boosted, and I can’t keep it to myself. A boosted story gets more views and more income. If sharing this helps someone else earn a few extra dollars, then I’ve done my job. The teacher in me won’t allow me to keep this to myself.
Obviously, you have to write well. The basic tenets of good writing still apply, but good writing alone is not enough in the blogging world. Over the past year, I’ve had seven stories boosted — and these are the characteristics they all shared:
1. Stick to Your Lane: Write What You Know Best.
Write about what you know and have expertise in.
Every one of my boosted stories has been about teaching and education. Sure, I have opinions about lots of things, but this is where I have credibility — because of my training, education, and lived experience.
Your voice carries weight when you speak from a place of knowledge and passion.
Find your niche. Own it. Write about that.
